Welcome to the Deuteronomy six promise!
In Deuteronomy six God gives His people one of the greatest promises found anywhere
in the Bible. This promise is wrapped in a prescription. A prescription that when followed, will release
a supernatural blessing that will touch not just our children's lives, but our grandchildrens
lives as well. The scripture says in Deuteronomy 6:2; "...so that you, your children and their children
after them may fear (awe and reverence) the LORD your God as long as you live by..." What an amazing
promise! How would you like to tap into this blessing and see your family walking in the fear of the Lord to the
third generation! The practical application of this prescription is found in verses six through nine:
"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon
your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when
you lie down and when you get up. 8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 9 Write them on the
doorframes of your houses and on your gates."
My wife and I have been greatly blessed
as we have applied many of the truths that we discovered as we have practically applied this passage in our lives. So
many questions have been answered and things that we have struggled with for years have fallen into place.
